Tea (Camellia sp) is one of the most economically important plantation crops and second-largest non-alcoholic beverage in world next to water being consumed by people different forms. It cultivated mainly Assam, West Bengal covering regions such as Darjeeling, Dooars, Terai, Southern India about 6.36 lakh hectares with a production 1338 million Kg made teas. Darjeeling tea world-famous for its specific aroma flavor whereas Assam known premier CTC Among various challenges encounter on bountiful desired quality, occurrence numerous diseases major factors. Different fungal algal genus are considered phytopathogens cause leaf, stem, root diseases. Blight (blister, grey brown), dieback, charcoal stem rot, rot (brown, violet) black threat sustainability. These can be managed through timely adoption good agricultural practices (GAP). For past couple decades, owing increased awareness adverse effects synthetic fungicides usage, have been looking ideal alternative strategies take care under organic system. Microbes Trichoderma, Bacillus, Pseudomonas, Actinomycetes etc. capable providing protective umbrella this crop against This review article highlights possible uses microorganisms managing it covers almost till date development field.
